🔍 Is performance still worth it?
This question was asked to me by courier posed – and it hits a nerve. In times of skilled labor shortages, a search for meaning, and growing skepticism about traditional career paths, new answers are needed.
💡 My view: Yes, performance is worthwhile – when it is seen, fairly rewarded and linked to meaning.
But this requires a cultural shift: away from mandatory attendance and toward genuine appreciation. Away from rigid structures and toward more personal responsibility and trust. And above all: towards transparent, fair pay.
📣 Those who demand performance must also be willing to recognize it – financially and culturally.
This is the only way to ensure that work remains meaningful and motivating – for all generations.
