Salary transparency: A step towards fairness – but how honest are we really?**

A new study on salary transparency was published on September 20th – and it reveals just how vast the gap between expectations and reality still is. Many companies advertise openness, but when it comes to transparent salary processes, everything often remains vague.

Salary transparency is not an end in itself, but a crucial lever for greater fairness and trust.

It takes courage, clear structures and a corporate culture that allows for real openness – not just headlines.

As a manager, colleague and human being, I ask myself:  

  • How open are we really when it comes to salaries?  
  • Are we promoting clarity – or are we cementing differences?

I wish for more genuine conversations, fewer taboos and the courage to ask uncomfortable questions.
